Flowering banana (Musa ornata)
Flowering banana (Musa ornata) is cultivated for its ornamental and commercial value. Fruits are not edible. The inflorescence looks just like the usual banana flower, but a miniature version. What appears like the stem of the Musa family of plants is actually a collection of the stalks of large leaves and not a true stem.
