Growing tomato plants

Growing tomato plants

Growing tomato plants is quite easy. In my childhood days they used to grow from tomato seeds thrown away from the kitchen. Now that we seldom throw away things in the backyard, we have to cultivate them. These are tomato seedlings germinating from seeds bought online.
Alternatively, tomato plants can be grown from tomato bought for cooking. Some say you can plant thin slices of tomato with seeds. But you can as well eat the tomato and sow the seeds alone! Either way, most of the seeds will germinate and grow well. In fact, I have tried both these methods.
Here are plenty of them both in polybags, different types of garden pots and on ground soil. They are growing well. You can also see curry leaves plants, Mexican coriander, and Okra in the background. These clips were recorded at different times so that you can see the sequence of growth of tomato plants very well. But unfortunately, in all my attempts at growing tomato, they have not borne fruits yet, though they flower well. I have even tried artificial pollination of the flowers using tiny paintbrushes as described on some websites!
